Our Legacy - 143 Years in the Making
The Founding:
The William H. Page Insurance Agency was founded in 1878, only four years before the Great Fire of 1882 decimated much of downtown Haverhill. This disaster was a massive loss for the city and the amount of money paid out to insureds by the agency was substantial. 1878 James G. Page James G. Page joined his father in the business and became president of the agency, leading it through the Great Depression and World War II. These were challenging times, but the agency persevered and continued to grow.
1953:
James F. Page became president in 1953, overseeing a period of rapid growth and expansion. The agency acquired several other local insurance agencies and expanded its offerings to include home, auto, and life insurance.
1987:
In 1987, James F. Page II became president, continuing the family tradition of leadership and service. Under his guidance, the agency embraced technology, implementing new systems and tools to better serve its customers.
2011:
James F. Page III became president in 2011, marking the fifth generation of family leadership. He has continued to build on the agency's legacy of service and innovation, expanding its commercial insurance offerings and strengthening its relationships with local businesses and communities.
