Health Agents for America, Inc. (HAFA) is a 501(c)6, bi-partisan exclusive association for Independent, Non-Captive Health Insurance Agents. Established in 2012, HAFA was formed in response to a growing need for Independent Health Agents to have a dedicated platform to address critical matters such as commissions, the Affordable Care Act (ACA), and inclusion in the Marketplace(s). As a leading advocacy association, HAFA is committed to representing the interests of licensed insurance professionals in Washington, D.C., and every state capitol. Our mission is to protect our industry by influencing public policy and educating independent insurance agents to better serve consumers.
Our Leadership
*B. Ronnell Nolan, HIA, President/CEO*
As the President and CEO of HAFA, Ronnell brings extensive experience in insurance, lobbying, and association management. She is the founder of Health Agents for America, Inc., a non-profit trade association exclusively for health insurance agents, and HAFA PAC Louisiana and HAFA PAC Federal. Additionally, Ronnell is the founder of The Nolan Group, a boutique insurance and lobbyist firm. Her accolades include being recognized as one of the "Most Influential Women in Employee Benefits" by Employee Benefit Adviser in 2014 and 2015, receiving the "Women of Excellence Award" by the Louisiana Legislative Women's Caucus Foundation in 2015, and being featured on the cover of the Employee Benefit Adviser in May 2014.

As the Senior Vice President of HAFA, Michael is located in Washington, D.C., and is responsible for strengthening ties across party lines, ensuring HAFA's bi-partisan nature remains a core strength. With strong relationships in both Washington and state governments, Michael helps HAFA find creative solutions for complex challenges.
