Our History

Amherst Insurance Agency, Inc. began its journey in 1969 when Ron Nathan founded the company. In 1978, Ron moved the agency to its current location in Amherst, Massachusetts. Two years later, he expanded the agency's services by acquiring Amherst Insurance. In 2012, Anna Holhut and Glenn Allan purchased the agency from Ron, marking a new era of growth and innovation.

Under the leadership of Anna and Glenn, the agency has continued to expand its services and expertise. Today, Amherst Insurance Agency, Inc. is a female-owned and operated agency that is proud to serve individuals, families, and businesses across Massachusetts and beyond.

D, ChFC, Vice President and owner of Amherst Insurance Agency, Inc., has over 30 years of experience in insurance and is a specialist in providing insurance products for licensed home childcare and childcare centers.
