Townsend-Evans Insurance has a rich history that spans over nine decades. The agency was founded in 1926 by four brothers: Leonard, Raymond, Hobart, and Wilburn Townsend. Initially known as the Townsend Insurance Agency, the business was later passed down to Wilburn's daughter, Janell Evans, and her husband, Jim Evans, in 1969. Jim Evans has been a pillar of the company, with over 50 years of experience in the insurance industry. His leadership and expertise have been instrumental in the agency's continued growth and success.

In 1996, Jim was joined by his son, Alan Evans, who became a co-owner of the agency in 2017. Alan serves as the agency manager and is responsible for overseeing commercial, personal, and health insurance operations. Amy Price, a personal lines agent, has been with the company for 25 years, while Samantha Hendrix joined the team in 2015 as a bookkeeper and customer service representative. With a combined experience of nearly 100 years, our dedicated insurance professionals are committed to providing exceptional service to our clients.
