Our Team
Our team is made up of knowledgeable and dedicated professionals who are committed to providing you with the best possible service. Our team includes:
- *Peter Bergan*: Founder of Bergan & Young, Peter has been in the insurance business since 1954. He first worked for the Insurance Company of North America, and then in 1963 Peter purchased a small insurance agency in Union Springs. In 1968, Peter purchased the William "Ky" Young Agency, Inc., which was founded in 1929 as the Auburn Agency.
- *Douglas Bergan*: Douglas is responsible for internal management and customer service. He has a BS from LeMoyne College and a MS from Syracuse University. He joined the agency in 1987, and has handled both personal and commercial customers. Douglas is a New York State Licensed Property & Casualty Agent, Licensed Property & Casualty Broker and Licensed Life Agent.
- *Patrick Bergan*: Patrick is responsible for claims, sales and customer service. He received his initial insurance training at the Aetna Home Office Sales Course, which at the time was a six-week residential program in Hartford, Connecticut. He received awards for placing in the top five percent academically and for participation on the winning team in a course-long skills and case study competition. Patrick is a New York State Licensed Property & Casualty Agent, Licensed Property & Casualty Broker and Licensed Life Agent.
