The Insurance Council of Texas (ICT) is a non-profit trade association dedicated to promoting the property and casualty insurance industry in Texas. Our mission is to provide relevant information and resources to our members, the public, regulators, and the media. We aim to create a favorable property and casualty insurance environment in Texas by being an invaluable information resource and regulatory and public voice for our members.

Our Mission

Our vision statement is to be an invaluable information resource and regulatory and public voice for our members by creating a favorable property and casualty insurance environment in which to operate in Texas. To achieve this, we represent our members at regulatory hearings, engage in public relations, host annual symposiums, conferences, and seminars, and provide a wide range of resources to our members and the public.

Staff

Our experienced staff includes professionals with extensive knowledge and expertise in the property and casualty insurance industry. They are dedicated to providing top-notch service to our members and the public. Our staff attends hearings and other insurance-related meetings of the Texas Department of Insurance and provides prompt and accurate reports to the membership. They also work with state and national news media on Texas-related insurance stories and serve as an information clearinghouse for member companies, consumers, legislators, and their staff, educators, and any other group or individual with insurance-related questions.

Education Foundation

The Insurance Council of Texas Education Foundation is a non-profit organization that promotes careers in the property and casualty insurance industry. Our mission is to provide scholarships and other financial support to university students registered at Texas universities that offer risk management/insurance programs. By supporting education in the insurance industry, we aim to foster a strong and skilled workforce that will contribute to the growth and development of the property and casualty insurance industry in Texas.

Board of Directors

We are governed by a Board of Directors that is actively involved in the affairs of the association. In addition to serving on committees, they establish the strategic vision and long-range plan of the association, approve the budget, and make key decisions that impact the direction of the organization.
