Poor Customer Experience and Unfair Business Practices
The author, Dorothy C., shares a disappointing experience with Progressive Insurance Group (PIG) and SafeCo insurance. She was sold a new policy that failed to provide adequate coverage, which was supposed to be a direct replacement for her previous excellent coverage.
Issue with Refund and Late Communication
Dorothy highlights the prolonged delay in receiving her refund after canceling her policies. She had to wait over three weeks, despite being assured that the refund was deposited into her checking account two weeks prior. The numerous calls she made to PIG to resolve the issue were met with promises of action, but none were fulfilled.
Misrepresentation and Lack of Transparency
Moreover, the author's business insurance policy had exclusions that were not properly explained, leading to denial of coverage during a recent ice storm-related loss. This experience further exacerbates the poor service and lack of transparency provided by PIG.
