Grant in Washington, D.C., our agency has built a reputation for being a family-run business that truly cares about its clients. Our founder, Mr. Grant, envisioned a business where agents would not only know their clients by name but also understand their unique insurance needs and provide personalized guidance.

Our History

Grant Insurance Agency was established in 1953 in a small office on F Street in Washington, D.C. Mr. Grant's strategy was to create a client-based business where agents would listen to their clients' needs, educate them on their insurance options, and provide top-notch service. Over the years, we have continued to grow and evolve, expanding our services to meet the changing needs of our clients. In 1970, Mr. Grant's son, Ridgely, joined the family business, followed by his other son, Granville, in 1975. In 1976, we relocated to Rockville, Maryland, where we have remained for over 40 years.
