Our History

Sevigney-Lyons Insurance Agency was founded in 1984 by Len Sevigney, who had previously worked as a successful independent insurance agent. In 1985, Jack Lyons, another accomplished insurance agent, joined Len, and together they developed an excellent reputation by always putting their customers first. Over the years, the agency grew, and in 1999, Len's sons, Lucas and Jonathan, joined the agency after graduating from college. They continued the customer-driven approach and expanded the Elite Condominium Insurance program, which contributed to the agency's continued growth. In 2008, Lucas and Jonathan purchased the agency and have since continued to grow through both organic means and acquisitions, including Ham Insurance Agency in South Berwick, Lyons Agency for Insurance in Kennebunk, and Coastal Insurance Agency in Portland, ME.

We have supported various local charities and events, including Family Christmas Gifts, the Wells High School Scholarship, and the Theater/Drama Club donation.
