Our History

Troy Petersen, the founder of our agency, grew up in the Elk Horn-Kimballton community and started farming in 1985. He expanded his services to include crop insurance in 1996 and later all lines of insurance in 2004. In 2012, Troy started Petersen Agency, and in 2014, he acquired The Viking Agency. Kyle Petersen, Troy's son, joined the agency shortly after and has been instrumental in its growth.
