We are Each Other's Keeper

At Police and Firemen's Insurance Association (PFIA), we have been dedicated to serving the needs of Police Officers and Fire Fighters for over a century. Our journey began in 1912, when a series of tragic incidents led to the formation of a group to provide financial assistance to the families of fallen heroes. Since then, we have grown to become a leading fraternal benefit society, serving members in 44 states and the District of Columbia.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide comprehensive insurance and fraternal benefits to Police Officers and Fire Fighters, while also engaging in philanthropic activities that support their families and communities. We take great pride in our commitment to paying claims and benefits in a timely manner, ensuring that our members receive the support they need in times of need.

Positive: Customers have reported being satisfied with their experience and feeling protected and covered, stating that the company is trustworthy and provide good insurance options.
Negative: The company has been criticized for their claims process, with one customer accusing them of taking advantage of emergency responders and ignoring customers' inquiries to hope they simply go away.

Disappointing Experience

Many customers have expressed their frustration with the company's claims process, particularly those related to on-the-job injuries. According to Daniel Follett, the insurance provider only pays out claims where employees miss a day or two of work, leading to a false sense of security. In his experience, the company ignored his claim for a significant amount of missed work and claimed they didn't cover it. He strongly advises others to cancel their policy immediately, citing the company's shady business practices.

Satisfied Customers

On the other hand, The NdFirst and Patrick Morrow have had positive experiences with the company. The NdFirst praises the organization for saving their "bacon" and providing good insurance coverage options, stating that they are the "real deal" and don't disappear when customers need them. Patrick Morrow, who has been with the company for 23 years, recommends the insurance provider, citing excellent coverage options for police and fire officers nationwide.
