Our History
Established in 1983, our agency has a rich history that spans over three decades. Founded by Joe Dolan, our agency started on the dining room table of his family's home in Milton, Massachusetts. With a passion for serving others, Joe entered the insurance industry after leaving the Navy in the 1940s. Prior to founding our agency, he worked for several insurance companies and agencies in the Boston area.
In 1983, Joe started Dolan Insurance Agency, and within a year, he purchased a small insurance agency in Framingham, Massachusetts. Fast forward to 1985, Joe's son, Tom Dolan, Sr., joined the family business, bringing his expertise to the agency. The father-son duo moved the agency to Westborough, Massachusetts, setting up shop in their living room, soliciting friends, family, in-laws, and out-laws.
In a few short years, the agency nearly tripled in size, prompting a relocation to a larger office on Lyman Street. In 1995, Paul Maloney, Sr. joined the agency, bringing his extensive experience from various executive roles in Connecticut. Shortly thereafter, Dolan Insurance Agency became Dolan & Maloney Insurance Agency.
Over the years, our agency has continued to grow, welcoming new family members to the team. In the late 2000s, Patrick Tobiasson, PJ Maloney, and Tom Dolan, Jr. joined our team, further solidifying our commitment to exceptional service and unparalleled expertise.
