Company History

Our story began in the 1980s when Conn and Joyce Johnson founded Johnson Insurance Agency, a family-owned agency in West Virginia. They dealt with the same challenges faced by many agency owners and were not satisfied with the solutions available. This experience inspired them to create a system that would truly support and perpetuate the independent agency channel. In 1983, CMS Insurance Service Inc. was born, built on the principles of integrity, loyalty, and trust. Today, we continue to grow and evolve, always keeping our partners at the forefront of our operations.
