Our History

Founded in March 1876, our company started with a mission to provide fire and lightning insurance for farms and rural property. Over the years, we have expanded our offerings to include wind insurance, farm blanket coverage, deductibles, liability coverage, and more. Our partnership with Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company has enabled us to offer a wide range of insurance products at competitive rates. Today, we provide coverage for homes, farm buildings, farm equipment, inland marine, and mobile homes in twenty-nine Illinois counties.
