Who We Are

At America One Insurance, we are proud to be one of the largest independent agency franchise organizations in Michigan, founded in 1979 by a group of entrepreneurs who shared a vision to provide independent agencies with a unique competitive advantage. Our founding partners, Cloyd Barnes, Robert Lecy, Clayton Metz, and Tony Thias, recognized the need for independent agencies to have access to a wider range of underwriting resources and support services. Today, we continue to strive towards this goal, adapting to the ever-changing landscape of the insurance industry.

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower independent insurance agents and agencies to succeed by providing them with the necessary tools, resources, and support to build and grow their businesses. We achieve this by offering a comprehensive network of carriers, access to market analysis, and training and development programs. Our focus is on promoting freedom, independence, and financial stability for our member agencies.

Services We Offer

As a member-driven company, we offer a range of services designed to support the growth and success of our member agencies. These include:

• Expanded Access: Our members have access to a broad range of insurance carriers, many of which are not available to new and/or small independent agencies.
• Operating Freedom: We recognize the importance of agency autonomy and freedom, and our franchise agreement supports this by not interfering in our members' daily operations.
• Collaborative Strength: Our network of agents and agencies provides a collaborative environment where members can share knowledge, resources, and expertise, leading to cost savings and business growth.
