Our History and Mission

The Baringer Hartman Insurance Group (BHIG) has a long-standing history as the oldest family-owned and operated independent insurance agency in the Upper Bucks County Community. Our agency has a rich history that dates back to 1956 when Norman Baringer began his insurance career selling life insurance door-to-door. In 1963, he opened a storefront office on Rte. 309 and began his independent agent career.

Fast forward to 2007, when we merged with Hartman Insurance Agencies, another prominent insurance agency in the Quakertown community. Our vision and mission statement remain the same today: to take care of our clients' needs first in Upper Bucks County and the surrounding community. Throughout the years, many things have changed in the independent insurance business, but our commitment to our clients has remained unwavering.
