Our History

Our story began in 1939 when Dwight Friedrich started the Friedrich Agency as an independent insurance and real estate agency. Ed Chaney joined the agency in 1981 and eventually became the sole owner in 1992. In 1993, Chaney and Karch Insurance Group was formed, and Pam Chaney joined the agency after working for 19 years with Economy Fire & Casualty Company. With a combined experience of over 40 years in the insurance industry, Ed and Pam have earned prestigious designations, including Certified Insurance Counselor and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter.
