Meet Stuart Woodbury

Stuart Woodbury, the founder of Low Cost Life Insurance, is a native of Kansas City, MO, and has been a leader in the life insurance brokerage business for over 35 years. Stuart holds the Gold Knight Level with the Million Dollar Round Table Foundation and is a Lifetime Member of the Million Dollar Round Table, an organization of the leading life insurance producers worldwide. He appears regularly on radio stations throughout the country, sharing his expertise in life insurance planning.

Stuart founded SWI, Inc., in 1985, driven by the belief that people were often sold the wrong type of life insurance or policies that were too expensive. After 30 years of providing clients with honest, straightforward service and the lowest cost term life insurance applicable to their needs, SWI merged with The Mutual Fund Store in 2015 to become TMFS Insurance Agency, LLC. The Mutual Fund Store then combined forces with Financial Engines, and later with Edelman Financial Services, to become Edelman Financial Engines. In 2020, Stuart acquired 100% of his company from Edelman Financial Engines, and Low Cost Life Insurance was reborn.
