Mendenhall Insurance has been a family-owned business in Woodburn, Oregon for more than 50 years. Our commitment to serving individuals, families, businesses, and farmers has made us a trusted and reliable choice for comprehensive, cost-effective, and safe insurance policies.

Our story began in 1974, when Darrell Mendenhall, our founder, started his insurance career as an underwriter for Oregon Mutual. Darrell holds both a CPCU and CIC designation, making him our resident subject matter expert. His commitment to volunteering his time in the local community and fundraising for worthy causes has made him a respected figure in the insurance industry.

In 2001, Brad Mendenhall, Darrell's son, joined the family business after spending over a decade as a Plant Manager for a large corporation. Brad is a graduate of the University of Oregon and has extensive experience in managing the risks involved in running a business. He enjoys spending time with his family and has a wide range of hobbies, including Jiu-Jitsu, motorcycles, water and snow skiing, surfing, mountain biking, SCUBA, and flying.

Arzel Duarte, our customer service representative, graduated from the University of Oregon in 2020 with a double major in psychology and sociology. Arzel worked as a campus assistant for student housing during her undergrad years and spent her free time at the Knight library. During the pandemic, she moved back home to Woodburn and began working remotely as a business and employment specialist for the Oregon Employment Department. Arzel joined Mendenhall Insurance Agency in March of 2022 and is currently working on obtaining an Oregon insurance agent license. She loves to travel to tropical places, attend concerts and festivals, and enjoys fashion, cycling, Bad Bunny, trying new foods, and reading.

Cinder, our lovable greeter, is always ready to welcome our customers with a wagging tail and a friendly bark. Cinder is an integral part of our team and ensures that everyone feels at home when they visit our office.
