Our Mission

The New York Alliance Against Insurance Fraud (NYAAIF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to tackling the growing problem of insurance fraud in New York State. We work to:

• Raise awareness of the true cost of insurance fraud and its impact on premiums.
• Educate the public about the different types of insurance fraud and how to identify them.
• Empower individuals to report suspected insurance fraud incidents.
• Advocate for stronger laws and regulations to deter and punish insurance fraud.

1. Public Awareness and Education

• Hosting workshops and seminars to educate communities about insurance fraud.
• Creating and disseminating public service announcements and awareness materials.
• Partnering with media outlets to promote stories and interviews related to insurance fraud.

2. Fraud Prevention and Detection

• Developing fraud detection and prevention tools for insurance companies and businesses.
• Working with law enforcement to investigate and prosecute fraud cases.
• Collaborating with other organizations to share information and best practices on fraud prevention.

3. Advocacy and Policy Development

• Working with legislators to introduce and pass legislation that strengthens insurance fraud laws.
• Testifying before regulatory bodies and legislative committees to advocate for stronger fraud prevention measures.
• Developing model policies and procedures for insurance companies and state agencies to improve fraud detection and deterrence.

4. Community Outreach and Involvement

• Engaging with communities to raise awareness of insurance fraud and its impact.
• Partnering with community organizations to offer fraud prevention workshops and educational programs.
• Providing a platform for victims of insurance fraud to share their stories and advocate for change.
