Our Purpose
Established in 1989, the South Dakota Life & Health Insurance Guaranty Association stands as a safety net for South Dakota residents holding life and health insurance policies from member insurers. Our mission is to ensure continuity of coverage in the unlikely event that an insurance company licensed in the state becomes insolvent and is forced to liquidate.
How We Help
When a member insurer is deemed insolvent and ordered to be liquidated, the association steps in to:
